This Breath of the Wild Randomizer is a side software, running on your computer and designed to guide your BotW run. Thus, you will have to play on the official game, this is not a rom hack. The software will randomly associate a certain number of key items of the game to different locations, called checks. To make the randomizer possible, a single number, called Seed, is generated upon launching a new game through the software. Each Seed is unique and corresponds to both: The placement of a key item at a designated check The list of hints that are provided to guide your run Your goal is to unlock all key items required, then defeat Ganon to beat the game. Of course, the logic of the randomizer is made to ensure each seed can be completed. As you will play on the original game and not on a rom hack, this software relies on self-management. When starting a new run, all items will be forbidden to use. Each time a check is completed, you will have to notify the software. It will thus be able to inform you of which item was unlocked. Once a new item is unlocked and allowed to use, new checks will be made accessible, allowing you to unlock more items (and so on). Again, more details will be provided later in this guide. You will be able to keep track of items you unlocked through an inventory window. Checks completed and unlocked can also be followed via the Hyrule map. The map is provided and updated by the software itself. This randomizer can be either played alone or with other players in cooperation mode, so long as a connection is established between each player’s computer.
